This place has really good jerk chicken !! This was a place you could easy pass and not realize what delicious food they have!! Not a sit down type of place definitely more platter pick your food and go!
Was introduced to this spot last year during a Small Business Crawl. They make THE BEST oxtail! The server is courteous and friendly. Will be there again real soon for more oxtail.
I had such a great dinner from there. I love oxtail and I'm very particular about where I get them from. This spot did not disappoint! The oxtails, peas n rice, sweet plantains, and festival was delicious!
If you're in queens and want just an explosion of deliciousness in your own home? Then this is the place to pick it up from. It's my go-to spot in Jamaica for cheat days. They have the best oxtails and vegetable rice around. The rice is seriously addictive. They also have a slamming hot sauce. You have to ask for the real hot hot sauce tho. Because they used to give me another hot sauce before a regular told me of this one. If you like perfectly spiced, fall off the bone, absolutely delicious oxtails. If you also like them with magic rice that you can eat buckets of till you explode in delicious rice goodness, then this is the place to get it from. They do not have any seating. This is a takeout-only spot. They also load up the containers. No skimping here. The staff is always nice as well. Keep up the good work guys.
Okay. I'm not sure if I want to leave a review because then everyone will know how good it is or the prices will raise when it gets popular. But let me tell you, getting lost looking for one place and finding this one was fantastic. The stars of this visit were the lemonade and the nice counter guy who had us cracking up when we were ordering. The prices are on par with any other Jamaican spot but the seafood is cheaper. $13 for jerk salmon, 13.50 for shrimp dishes? Yes, thank you. The jerk salmon (steak, not filet) was SPICY, but well seasoned and delicious. It's a tad overcooked but not dry. The oxtails were pretty good too, well seasoned and most of the fat was trimmed off already. We both had good left back for the next day. The employees were really nice so, we will surely be back.
St. Jerk is one of the best Jerk spots I've had the pleasure of eating at. They have real and authentic flavors. Chicken is never dry and always flavorful. I also love their oxtail with rice and peas. This place can be a bit crowded because it is very popular in the area. It is worth the wait! Anytime I make my way over there I'm sure to stop in for some Jerk!! Yummy!
